Another Memphis Tiger entered the transfer portal for the second time in a week. Backup point guard Jayhlon Young joins Johnathan Pierre as the only two players from the program to enter the portal. The news was reported on Thursday night. Young only spent one season with Memphis after coming over from UCF, a program that is now a member of the Big 12 Conference. In his only season with the Tigers, Young appeared in 27 games and averaged 2.2 points and 1.3 rebounds per game. His best performance of the season was against Clemson when he scored seven points and grabbed four rebounds in the Tigers’ 79-77 victory. The following players remain eligible from the current roster: David Jones, Nicholas Jourdain, Joe Cooper, Carl Cherenfant, and Ashton Hardaway.
